On Aug. 4 at the Region 14 Administrator Conference, Linda Allen, director of SATH (Supplementary Assistance to the Handicapped). was presented a donation of $5,000 from Dr. Douglas Reeves, founder of Creative Leadership Solutions.

  • 'Friends of Mitchell Park' benefit raises $1,400

    On Aug. 5, Adena Greenfield Medical Center, with the help of many members of the community known as “Friends of Mitchell Park,” organized and orchestrated a softball charity event. The event proved to be more than successful, raising almost $1,400, which will be donated back to the park in the upcoming weeks.

    Three local women were inducted into the Highland County Women’s Hall of Fame Tuesday, Aug. 15 at Southern State Community College's Central Campus. The Hall of Fame committee announced the following honorees in the class of 2017: Margaret “Peggy” Addington, Janet Butler and Karen Faust.
