The honorees were former Ohio Farm Bureau presidents Ken Davis and Fred Finney and former Ohio Farm Bureau Director of Women and Youth Programs Shirley Boyd.

    The third quarter was the difference for the Hillsboro Lady Indians. Actually, it was the final two minutes of that frame against the Jackson Ironladies that sent the Lady Indians from a one-point deficit all the way to a 22-point Frontier Athletic Conference victory Wednesday night for a 69-47 win.

  • Trump: U.S. recognizes Jerusalem as Israel's capital

    In 1995, Congress adopted the Jerusalem Embassy Act, urging the federal government to relocate the American embassy to Jerusalem and to recognize that that city – and so importantly – is Israel’s capital. This act passed Congress by an overwhelming bipartisan majority and was reaffirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate only six months ago. Yet, for over 20 years, every previous American president has exercised the law’s waiver, refusing to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem or to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city.

    It wasn’t an easy task by any means for the Fairfield Lions on Tuesday night in their non-conference game against the Paint Valley Bearcats. Using their speed to keep the pace of the game they wanted, and battling in an aggressive game, they were able to keep the lead for most of the game and defeat the visitors by a 51-49 score

    Lynchburg-Clay junior Peyton Scott earned her 1,000th career point in the second quarter Monday night against the Goshen Lady Warriors and the Lady Mustangs earned the win as well, defeating their opponent 45-38.
