To the editor:

I have been accused of all sorts of delusions in the last year (adjust your tin-foil hat, etc.) when I predicted that Obama would try to stay in the White House after Jan. 20, 2017 if the election did not go as he wished.

I may have been slightly wrong about that (but Jan. 20 has not come yet).

Currently, it is not only the White House, but the whole left-wing liberal coterie – the White House, Democrat leaders in Congress, the mainstream media, someone in the CIA and Lord knows who else that is trying to block the legitimate results of the election.

I have a feeling matters are going to be quite contentious in this last week as we lead up to the Electoral College vote on Dec. 19. If they (the Left) loses on the 19th, Katie bar the door.

It has been 84 years since the first real socialist (FDR) was elected (Woodrow Wilson attempted to be one, but other than the blasted income tax, he largely failed).

Conservatives had had only two respites from a liberal agenda in those 84 years – Presidents Eisenhower and Reagan.

Donald Trump is no conservative; but he is a refreshing breeze compared to the inside the beltway crowd – Republican and Democrat – who we have tolerated for 68 of those 84 years. They always tell us to shut up and accept who is elected. It is time they put on their big-boy and big-girl pants and do the same.

My prediction was closer to reality than anyone else imagined. There is a long list of correspondents to The HCP who owe me an apology.

Best Regards,
Jim Thompson
